  I spent 25 years in correspondent lending. I was nervous about making the switch to broker because of the challenges I had heard that came with the broker business model. When our group was looking for a change we interviewed other correspondent lenders and also brokers. We chose IMB because of the great products and high level of support. The systems and support are on par with the correspondent lender I had experienced all of my career. The rates and products with IMB are superior to what I had before. I couldn't be happier for the decision we made to join the IMB family!

  I started with IMB from the beginning after being laid off in the corporate banking world and my life has changed immensely (for the better). Ryan Davis took me in with little to no experience and has been an incredible mentor in my career. IMB disproves all of those horror stories that you may hear from time to time about being on an unsupportive island with lost brokers. IMB goes the extra mile to make sure their brokers are supported and provide the next level technology for any broker to succeed.
  If you are reading reviews to justify your transition or make the move, you will not regret your move. Ryan and Nathan work extremely hard to make IMB your last home.

  I will say joining Independent Mortgage Brokers has been one of the best choices I have made in my mortgage career. Coming from the the direct lender world to broker was definitely a leap of faith, and IMB has not disappointed.   I joined IMB 7 months ago and it's been great! I was a retail LO for my entire career before deciding to move to the broker side. I have always been hesitant to become a broker because I was told there is no support and you have no control of your loans. As a control freak, this was enough for me to stay on the retail side. Thankfully at IMB neither of these things are accurate and could not be further from my experience. First off I feel I have more control of my loans because I decide where to send each loan. I have built relationships with my lenders and everyone has been great helping me learn the process. As far as support, the team at IMB are always available to help out. The group of brokers we have are also open and willing to share their ideas and best practices to help everyone grow and get better everyday. The only thing I would have done differently is I should have made the move sooner!

  I was a retail lender for about 13 years and I was always hesitant to join the broker world. I have now been with Independent mortgage brokers for a little over 6 months and I have been absolutely blown away at the efficiency, speed, and support that Independent Mortgage Brokers provides. The transition was super smooth & easy, and I have so many resources available to help me succeed. The online portal alone offers transparency on who the best lenders are, which lenders offer the best turn times, account executive contact information, and a ton of calculators/tools.   As a 20+ year veteran of the mortgage industry, I have. been both a mortgage broker and a direct lender. There is no right or wrong choice, but there are huge differences.   I've been with Independent Mortgage Brokers since the beginning and can only echo what I've read in other reviews with support and service. As I've talked to account executives who have multiple accounts, the consistent feedback is that this is one they will not give up b/c of the people and the culture. It's great to have the internal support but having the external support like that also makes a big difference!

  I cannot say enough great things about Ryan and all of the team members at IMB. I moved over from the correspondent lending side after 12 years, and wish that I would have made the change sooner. Everything that I was told during the discovery process before I decided to make the change was accurate. Ryan and the folks at IMB really go above and beyond to make the transition for new LO's easy, and they provide all of the essential resources to get your business up and running quickly. Everyone is also very willing to share ideas and help one another out which is not something you see with every company, especially within the independent mortgage broker community. If your looking for a place to Originate Home Loans, this is the best option out there.
